Couple all of this with an exciting events schedule, more than 300 days of sunshine a year, and just the right of blend of coastal sophistication and old school charm, it’s not hard to understand why holidaymakers return year after year, and locals never want to leave.

Caloundra Street Fair:
Homemade donuts, mouth-watering fresh street food, quality coffee, quirky fashions, artisan jewellery, kids’ activities and so much more. It’s all waiting at the Caloundra Street Fair held every Sunday along Bulcock Street in the CBD from 8am to 1pm.
Twilight Markets:
They’re taking a small break over Christmas but will be back to business as usual early in the new year. Once they do, make sure you come along for the great live music, fabulous food, arts and craft stalls and more. The Twilight Markets are held on the last Friday of each month along Bulcock Beach Esplanade from 5pm to 9pm.
A Holly Christmas:
The Events Centre Caloundra certainly know how to put on a show, and this festive season takes on a rock and roll flavour with the Buddy Holly Christmas Concert. Hear the Christmas classics: Santa Clause is Coming to Town, Jingle Bell Rock, Blue Christmas, Little Drummer Boy as well as some Buddy Holly rock ‘n’ roll classics like Peggy Sue, Rave On, Oh Boy and It’s So Easy. The show has had outstanding reviews everywhere it has toured, so don’t miss out. Check here for details.
Christmas Markets, Pelican Waters:
This Saturday (11 December) why not pay a visit to Pelican Waters Resort to pick up a bargain and support local creators at the handmade Christmas markets. They’re on at 38 Mahogany Drive from 8am to 1pm.
NightQuarter Christmas Carols:
Bring the family to NightQuarter for a night of Christmas festivities when the Birtinya market precinct comes alive with carols. The evening will include dancing with Rudolph, singing with Santa, Christmas carollers, live entertainment and fabulous food stalls. The carols will take place from 4pm on Saturday 18 December at 201/8 The Avenue, Birtinya.
