From beachside picnics with Bluey, to retro cars and live music in the heart of town, Caloundra is shaping up for a vibrant season of community events and good times.
Kicking off the festivities is Shannon Noll live at Kings Beach Tavern this Saturday 24 May. The Aussie rock favourite is expected to deliver a high-energy performance not to be missed, in one of the coast’s favourite venues.
Caloundra’s Big4 Holiday Park is hosting the Vintage Van Festival from 22–25 May. The waterfront will become a colourful showcase of restored retro caravans, live music, and food trucks – a celebration of old-school charm and modern-day fun.
Next, Beachfest rolls into town from Wednesday 28 May to Sunday 1 June. A magnet for lovers of classic cars and rock ‘n’ roll, the event transforms the streets into a sea of polished chrome and festival energy. Expect Show ‘n’ Shine displays with more than 550 vehicles, nightly street parties, rockabilly bands, dancing in the streets, scenic car cruises, and a wide range of traders and food stalls.
Ladies Oaks Day follows on Friday 30 May, bringing fashion, racing, and festival flair to the Sunshine Coast Turf Club. It’s an 18+ event packed with style, music and a lively social atmosphere.
Looking further ahead, the frosty magic of Winter Wunderland arrives on Friday 20 June. Bulcock Street will be the scene of snow-filled fun with kids’ rides, street performers, live music, and a bustling winter market.
The next day, Saturday 21 June, Felicity Park takes centre stage with the debut of the Bulcock Street Music Festival – a celebration of live punk, indie and alternative music featuring ten acts from the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane.
In July, families are invited to Picnic on Kings on Saturday 26 July – a day of local food, kids’ activities and special guests Bluey and Bingo, set against the Kings Beach Amphitheatre.
It’s part of the Curated Plate program and promises to be a highlight for the young and young at heart. Entry is $10 for the stage show and tickets must be booked online in advance.
Rounding out the lineup is a special shopping experience in June 2025, guided by local author Kim McCosker. The Caloundra Shopping Tour takes guests on a curated journey through the town’s best fashion, homewares and boutique finds.
